Reuse & Repurpose: Let 'Er Rip!

Even if a vintage tablecloth has spots, stains and holes in it doesn't mean it can't be repurposed into something that's as useful as it is lovely. My friend, Sharleen Reeder, proprietor of Luticia Clementine's in Independence, Missouri, proved just that when she presented me with this fabulous set of napkins crafted out of a vintage, garage-sale tablecloth that Sharleen said was in bad shape.

Since Sharleen knew I adore those old, vintage tablecloths, she bought it anyway and gave it new life, by cutting it into squares, preserving the retro floral designs, and wrapping it up in a salmon colored ribbon. Voila! A chic set of napkins perfect for an impromptu picnic or or a casual summertime dinner.
