MyMomShops Sponsor: Green Diaper Store

I'm pleased to introduce you to our newest sponsor, Green Diaper Store. Launched by Lisa Carey, a California work-at-home mom, Green Diaper Store is, yes, a place where you can purchase reusable cloth diapers for your babe, including brands like Happy Heinys, FuzziBunz, bumGenius, and Thirsties. As a mom who pretty much relied on Huggies and Pampers, I guess I always pictured cloth diapers as unattractive, but it turns out they are super cute. Look!

Happy Heinys One Size Pocket Diaper ($18.95, tons of prints available). Adorable! (Also, if you're looking for a shower or baby gift for a natural-leaning mom, check out the Happy Heinys Starter Kit for $75).

I must say, as a mom whose kids were born in 2003 and 2006 (a generation ago in terms of baby products) I wish these diapers had become mainstream earlier. I definitely would have tried them.

Moving beyond babies' bums....even if you are NOT in the market for cloth diapers, there is still plenty of reason for you to visit Green Diaper Store. The store also specializes in other eco-friendly products for babies, kids, and moms including toys and feeding supplies. Here are a few of my favorite picks:

BPA-Free Corn Teething Keys ($8). Dandelion Baby has expanded its sucessful line of corn-based feeding products to baby toys...these are naturally BPA free, Phthalate free and PVC free.

http://www.greendiaperstore.com/emab-Breastfeeding-Support-Kit.html">Breastfeeding Support Kit ($49.95). I sure would've appreciated a gift like this when my babies arrived. Each kit includes nursing tea to help support milk production, lanolin-free nipple cream, and gel-free breast packs and herbal breast compresses to help with engorgement or mastitis.

Maple Landmark Simple ABC Blocks ($23). Maple Landmark is a brand I've always admired for its locally sourced, sustainably harvested wooden toys. This set of 16 wooden blocks are completely natural with no finish.

Or, for the expecting mom or new mom who favors eco-friendly products, but would rather choose her own gifts, a gift certificate (various increments starting at $10) would be very handy.

There's lots more...go take a look around Green Diaper Store.
