Since I'm off to Los Angeles today for a few days of fabulous and frugal fun, I was reminded of these odd bookends I located one day at Nick Metropolis on LaBrea as I was shopping with my pals Senor Amor and Jonona of Jonamor Decor. We were mystified by the composition: two firemen rescuing a little girl from a burning building! But if you are decorating in a firefighter theme, then here is your perfect accessory.
As we studied it further, Jonona lifted it up only to find that our pair of proud lifesavers were liquor bottles. Labled "Old Commonwealth Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey," these containers are certainly a discrete way to hide your booze.
