And My Goodness, It's Green!

The Elegant Thrifter has heard about a shop in Midtown Manhattan where you can buy vintage  furniture -- goods that already have an ecological twist because they are being reused --  that are refinished with products that are easy on the earth.

Furnish Green, at 1261 Broadway, has a ton of appealing furniture on its website, like this Eames chest of drawers, left and desk, below, that have appealing prices, especially when compared to new furniture of similar or even inferior quality.

I also like the fact that if you donate furniture to the shop, it will in turn hand over half of the profits to the Nature Convervancy's Adopt an Acre program that will help  reforest the Appalachians.   It's sort of like buying super-ultra-green furniture!
