Sea produce constitutes the main source of protein for billions of people. Every year, 90 million tons of fish are caught in the oceans, but this amount has not increased, despite continuing improvements in technology. It is estimated that, currently, half of the stocks is fully exploited, one quarter is underexploited and only the remaining quarter offers prospects for development.
